NEED YOUR HELP for 2014 Fukushima Kids Dolphin Camp in Mikura Island, JAPAN

I am writing this to all the artists in the all over the world to support children in Fukushima by sending me your message, art, song, video or any kind of creativity.

We, Fukushima BERUF, are presenting “2014 Fukushima Kids Dolphin Camp in Mikura Island in Japan” from July 21 – 26 for children in Fukushima to release their mental stress from radiation fear caused by 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. And WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

After 311 nuclear disaster in 2011, children and family in Fukushima have been under the nuclear radiation fear from Fukushima power plant. Their activity has been restricted and their stress has been increased. Today, they can no longer play in the wood, river and ocean in Fukushima, not like how they used to before 311. And Japanese government is not supporting these kids, especially the government is not aware of mental stress.

We believe that it is children’s job to play outside in the nature. Children learn from nature, they make friends through nature and they grow as they play in the nature.

So, we decide to raise money to start to bring Fukushima children to Mikura Island for a retreat camp where friendly wild dolphins inhabit. Children will encounter with wild dolphin for the first time in their life. They will play with them, hear them and feel them. During this camp, they will also experience various nature activities that allow them to play in the nature without any fear from radiation such as dolphin swim, hiking in the mountain, kids yoga and camp fire. They will experience and learn what nature can provide to us. And we believe this camp will help them to grow in deeper level.

The camp will be organize 100 % volunteer with some help of dolphin. We are currently raising the fund for this camp through cloud funding site: READYFOR (https://readyfor.jp/projects/fukushima_kids_dolphin ) from April 30 to June 30. But it is only in Japanese. We are making an English site now.

We would like to use the power of art to get attention from people and support children. As you know, the art has limitless power. It’s borderless and has such a straight and positive impact. By using the art, we want children to feel it’s ok to release themselves without any fear. It’s a way of showing freedom to children.

We want to use your art, message or anything to put up on ourEnglish website we are making. If you can produce any art related to dolphin and children, we would like to use it on our website with your credit. We want to make it as a world action. Please support this project and give them hope!
